Michael Calladine is excited to be back on stage! This is the fourth character he’s played named Mark. Weird...Michael moved to Nelson in 2010 and has been slowly working his way into the music and theatre scene. Participating in the Capitol’s Christmas Pantomime as a lead performer and musical director, he met some amazing people and his reputation has slowly grown. Adding to his extensive film, stage and music experience before moving to the Queen City; in the last few years he has played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret, both at the Capitol. He also has busied himself with singing back up for Arron Nelson and the Buzz; in addition to film acting as the villainous Bishop of War, Malisay, in local production Of Saints and Outlaws.Michael is a graduate of the Camosun College Jazz Studies program as a voice major and attended the University of Victoria’s Applied Theatre program.When not performing, Michael is a private voice teacher and offers theatre skills classes for children.
