Karen grew up with a love for singing and was actively involved in choir, vocal lessons, and theatre throughout her childhood. Her love for theatre was rekindled four years ago when she played the Baker's Wife in the Nelson Operatic Society's production of Into The Woods. She has since been in various performances, including fundraisers for the Kootenay Lake Hospital and ANKORS, and performed in the Vagina Monologues. Karen can also be found bumping skates with her roller derby teammates, The Killjoys, under the alias Goldie GunShow.
